I used to live in a yellow apartment on the corner of Creighton St. in Halifax. I loved this apartment. It was small and oddly shaped. There was a man who lived below me who had night terrors and I would often hear him screaming at night. It had what I called a "puddle of a tub". It had mice living in the walls. It was so drafty in the wintertime you could see your breath in the morning. But I loved that apartment. I hosted my friends there for parties, I pulled all-nighters and hid in the comfort of a closet-sized bedroom when I was feeling low.

Not The End is one of the first songs I wrote in this style. It is one of the first collaborative efforts Hello Delaware has released. I wanted to imitate something a little more punky, a little more rock, and roll in the lyrics and I feel like the band really emphasized that with the music.

This song encompasses every long night, over thought, drawn-out moment I had with myself in this apartment. Ages 24 - 26 were tough, but they were not the end.
